Christos and Katia asked us to carry out a partial renovation of their apartment in Ilioupoli. The property is on the ground floor of a building constructed in the 1980s and has an area of 90 m².

Due to use and age, the bathroom plumbing had started leaking. The water-supply and drainage networks were made of iron pipes and lead fittings respectively and had corroded, while the sanitary ware was also worn. The floor was terrazzo, and the apartment as a whole was divided into many separate spaces (entrance hall, family room, etc.).

The owners wanted to refresh the apartment and improve its look. So they decided to renovate, and specifically the building works carried out in the apartment were the following:

• Two interior walls were demolished, creating an open-plan kitchen–living room
• The bathroom was completely stripped out
• The electrical installation was replaced
• A new water-supply installation was fitted using multilayer pipes with a distribution manifold (collector), and a new drainage network with PVC pipes
• A new self-levelling cement screed was laid and new floor tiles were installed
• A walk-in shower was built and a Securit glass enclosure fitted in the bathroom
• The sanitary ware was replaced
• The apartment's wardrobes and wooden kitchen cabinets were kept
• A number of skips were hired for debris removal
• The apartment was painted with branded eco-friendly paints.
• The home was painted with branded eco-friendly paints.

The renovation of Christos and Katia's home in Ilioupoli was completed successfully. The result was excellent and we can confidently say it exceeded their expectations.
