The new owners of an apartment in Kolonaki asked us to carry out a complete renovation of their home. The apartment is on the sixth floor of a building constructed in the 1960s and has a total area of 95 m².

Originally, the apartment had a separate kitchen, a living room, one bedroom and a bathroom with a bathtub. Following the architectural design we prepared, the wall between the kitchen and living room was removed to create an open-plan space, new brick walls were built and the bathroom was completely stripped out. Specifically, the building works carried out were the following:

• The brick wall between the kitchen and living room was removed
• New brick walls were built, creating a new second bedroom
• The bathroom was completely stripped out
• The floor tiles, the kitchen cabinets and the wooden bedroom wardrobe were removed.
• The electrical installation was replaced.
• The plumbing installation was replaced. Specifically, a new copper water-supply network was installed, and the clients chose to add underfloor heating throughout the apartment.
• New wardrobes and a new kitchen were built, and new laminate interior doors were fitted.
• A walk-in shower was built in the bathroom
• New floor tiles were laid
• The apartment's aluminium window frames were replaced
• Concealed lighting was built with plasterboard in the master bedroom, the living room and the bathroom
• The apartment was painted with branded eco-friendly paints.
